어린 왕자 -생텍쥐페리

 

 

하지만 어린왕자야,  너의 조그만 별에서는 의자를 몇 발짝 옮겨놓기만 하면 돼.
그러면 네가 원할 때면 언제라도  저무는 하루와 지는 노을을 바라볼 수 있는 거야.

"어느 날인가," 네가 말했지, "난 해가 지는 걸 마흔 네번이나 보았어!"
그리고는 잠시 후 너는  이렇게 덧붙였지:  "...사람들은 너무나 슬플 때 해지는 모습을 좋아하게 돼..."

"그럼 너 그렇게 많이 슬펐었니...," 내가 물었다,  "마흔 네번의 노을을 본 날?"  

그러나 어린 왕자는 대답이 없었다.

You can see the day end and the twilight falling whenever you like...
"One day," you said to me, "I saw the sunset forty-four times!"
And a little later you added: "You know-- one loves the sunset, when one is so sad..."
"Were you so sad, then?" I asked, "on the day of the forty-four sunsets?"
But the little prince made no reply.
